How to get Pufferfish

Any body of water, according to the flying-pet guide. Obtain a rod and bait at the Home Island docks.

Using Pufferfish

The 12 October flying-pet guide calls Pufferfish Rare and recommends Good Casts. Clara’s first objective needs 20 Pufferfish, followed by a return to her before working on the 70 Triassic Rocks.

Practical questions

Why does a Perfect Cast not necessarily help this objective?
The guide says Perfect Casts favor higher rarities, while Weak Casts do not yield Pufferfish. Its targeted recommendation is Good Casts; it does not give a numeric success probability.
Are Pufferfish a seed or hatchable fish egg?
The collected route describes a fish catch and Clara hand-in, not a seed, fish-egg or growth system. Those observed queries remain unresolved rather than gaining an invented mechanism.

Return 20 Pufferfish to Clara · Plan repeat catches

For Clara’s 20 Pufferfish objective, aim for Good Casts. The flying-pet guide calls Pufferfish Rare, says Weak casts do not yield it, and says repeated Perfect casts favour higher rarities. Targeting the middle/Good result fits that particular fish objective; maximizing cast quality is not automatically the fastest way to finish it.

What setup should I use to farm Pufferfish for Clara?

  1. At the left side of Home Island’s docks, get a fishing rod from Hikomi and bait from Tylo the Fisher. Keep enough bait for repeated attempts. The older basic-rod recording gives 150 in-game money, but not a bait unit price.
  2. Accept Clara’s fishing stage at Sky Spires before counting toward her progression. The stated guide requirements are Level 20+ and Silver Shovel or better.
  3. Cast into a body of water and aim for the game’s Good Cast result. The guide supplies a quality choice, rather than a numerical cursor position, catch percentage or named best rod.
  4. Count Pufferfish caught for the active stage. A shoe, bottle or another fish does not turn into a Pufferfish because it is in your bag.
  5. After twenty, return to Clara. Register that objective and begin the next one: break seventy Triassic rocks using Silver or better. Return again after the rocks, then pay 10,000 Coins for one Sky Egg.

Why Weak and Perfect are different here

Weak casts do not produce the Pufferfish required by this source’s route. Perfect casts are described as favouring higher rarities, so repeatedly chasing Perfect can send effort toward a different target. That does not establish a universal rule that Perfect is bad, nor an exact catch probability for Good. The recommendation follows Clara’s named Rare-fish objective.

The published Pufferfish image shows the avatar holding the round fish on a dock with an Auction Island label. Its Monster Storm text includes 1.5× Luck. That is a scene condition, not a demonstrated Pufferfish drop rate or a Lucky Clover multiplier. The Rare/Good strategy comes from the guide’s instructions.

If your next quest stage has not started

Check whether you have returned to Clara after fishing. Her objective order includes both NPC returns; carrying twenty fish while continuing to dig does not prove that the seventy-rock objective is registered. The quest-progress planner uses progress for the active registered stage, instead of treating every cumulative fish or rock count as already credited.

One complete Clara loop uses twenty Pufferfish, seventy rocks and 10,000 Coins. Silver itself needs 8,000 Coins, five Aquamarine Shards and eight Red Jasper, so first-time Silver plus one egg has an 18,000-Coin purchase total before bait and other spending. Read the full route, egg results and Adult Partner steps after registering the fish stage; use the general fishing guide for Kai’s different fifty-fish task.
