At an approximate one-percent chance per cast, one hundred independent casts give a 63.40% chance of at least one Raptor Remain. At 140 casts the modeled chance is 75.51%, with a 24.49% chance of none. One hundred casts therefore does not guarantee completion.

What the one-in-one-hundred number means

In the October 11 Huntlikeapro update video, the creator reads the quest wording as about one cast in one hundred bringing up a raptor remain. The same creator reports about 140 casts without getting it in that session. The calculator uses the approximate 0.01 probability as a scenario; it does not claim a measured drop rate from our own gameplay or turn the creator’s unsuccessful session into an exact game threshold.

If each trial has the same independent probability p, the no-drop chance after N trials is (1 − p) raised to N. Subtract that from one to obtain at least one success. You can enter your cast count to see both outcomes. For a target probability below one hundred percent, the tool rounds up the logarithmic solution to a whole number of casts. A zero-percent target needs zero trials; a one-hundred-percent guarantee cannot be reached with a finite count in this model.

Use the result without inventing a quest shortcut

At a ninety-percent target, the model needs 230 casts. At fifty percent, it needs sixty-nine. These counts describe probability under the chosen assumptions rather than a mandatory task list. The mean first-success count is one hundred, but a mean is not a maximum. There is no basis here for claiming that changing servers resets or improves a pity counter.

The actual event being modeled is a cast producing the quest remain. It is separate from catching a Pufferfish for Clara, collecting ordinary fossil shards or hatching an egg. Do not use this probability for those actions merely because they also involve fishing or prehistoric creatures. Check the exact active quest before interpreting your total as relevant attempts.

This calculation does not establish that it bypasses the fishing quest, counts as its registered objective or changes future cast odds. Continue with the quest’s actual NPC and registration steps.
