Prehistoric Farm Panthalassa: Kai, Yara and Pacific Shovel

Unlock Panthalassa by completing Kai the Tidekeeper’s skull, fish and unhatched-egg tasks behind Devonian Island, then use the Whirlpool. For Pacific Shovel, continue to Yara’s Shellsmithy with Titanium, three unhatched Sea Eggs, one Nessie Fragment and 350,000 Coins. The October 12 Pacific route recommends Level 30+; that is not a separately established level requirement for Kai alone.

Kai’s route into Panthalassa

  1. Find Kai behind/right of Devonian Island. Talk to him and accept the skull objective. Follow its pointer to Cretaceous Island, collect the Mosasaurus Skull and return it to Kai. A pointed quest pickup is not an instruction to kill the giant cooperative Mosasaurus encounter.
  2. Catch 50 actual fish. Kai accepts the supplied fish objective across rod, species and rarity. Shoes and bottles do not count. Keep rod and bait ready and register the task with Kai, rather than spending time targeting one rare fish that the objective does not require.
  3. Collect 12 Dunkleosteus Shards. Dig Devonian rocks with Silver or better. Return to Dr. Ivy at Home and exchange the batch for three Dunkleosteus Eggs.
  4. Give Kai all three eggs unhatched. Keep them out of the incubator. The supplied batch uses twelve shards for three eggs, not twelve per egg. A hatched Dunkleosteus is not the requested egg stock.
  5. Talk to Kai after the hand-ins, then use/jump into the Whirlpool. This is the route to Panthalassa, below the ocean.

Yara’s Pacific Shovel tasks

  1. Prepare Titanium Shovel for Panthalassa’s Sea Egg shard rocks. Its Home shop recipe is 200,000 Coins, twenty Desert Topaz from Triassic rocks and twenty Jungle Emerald from Jurassic rocks.
  2. From Panthalassa spawn, go right to Yara’s Shellsmithy. Talk to Yara about her objectives before returning with the hand-in stock.
  3. Dig Sea Egg shards with Titanium, return to Home’s Dr. Ivy and exchange them for three Sea Eggs of any kind. Leave the eggs unhatched and deliver them to Yara. The guide does not supply every Sea Egg species recipe.
  4. Give Yara one Nessie Fragment. The guide reports a fragment appearing every fifteen minutes and remaining for five. A previously observed spawn time is needed to plan that window; this page does not know your live server’s phase.
  5. After the objectives, talk to Yara and purchase Pacific for 350,000 Coins. The screenshot’s 290,945-Coin HUD is the creator’s balance, not the shovel price.

What the purchase gives you

The October 12 guide lists Pacific at 1.60× Fossil Luck, 1.45× Coins per dig and 1.2× digging speed versus Titanium. It covers the guide’s islands except Late Cretaceous and is ranked below Forgotten. If Late Cretaceous digging is your goal, Pacific does not solve that access requirement.

Titanium plus Pacific costs 550,000 Coins before other spending; adding Silver makes 558,000. Use the recipe deficit planner, upgrade budget and observed fragment window planner. Code rewards include separately dated fragment amounts; an expired code is not a guaranteed shortcut.

What is Kai the Tidekeeper’s location?

Kai the Tidekeeper is behind/right of Devonian. Accept his skull task, follow the Cretaceous pointer and return the pickup. Then catch fifty actual fish, excluding shoes/bottles. Use Silver or better for twelve Devonian Dunkleosteus Shards, exchange at Home for three eggs and hand all three to Kai unhatched. Talk to him and use Whirlpool. This is the documented route, not a purchasable key or portal crafting blueprint.

Is Panthalassa worth visiting for my goal?

For Pacific, prepare Titanium for Panthalassa rocks and follow Yara’s three-unhatched-Sea-Egg/one-fragment tasks and 350,000-Coin purchase. The recipe uses named shards, not an invented oil, ore or food-farming system. Kai and Whirlpool are quest/transport roles, not creatures with a combat rarity tier. The separate new boss key recipe remains unsupplied.

Which rocks and material quantities matter?

Devonian’s twelve Dunkleosteus Shards yield the three-egg Kai batch. Panthalassa’s Sea Egg shards require Titanium and exchange with Home Dr. Ivy, but individual Sea Egg species recipes are not listed. Keep food and cash reserves and calculate the known stock deficit before another trip; a fastest-world claim needs more than a waypoint name.

How do I get the Whirlpool to work?

Complete Kai’s skull, fifty actual fish and three unhatched Dunkleosteus Eggs hand-ins, then talk to him and use/jump into the Whirlpool behind Devonian. Shoes and bottles do not count toward fish; hatched animals do not replace eggs. The egg batch uses twelve Devonian shards exchanged at Home. This supplied access route keeps the necessary NPC returns instead of treating the Whirlpool as a bought key or crafted portal. Use your registered objective to find the remaining step.
