Prehistoric Farm Riding and Flying Partners

Hatch the egg, place the dinosaur on your ranch and keep it fed while it grows before trying to ride. A newborn is too young. Once the animal is sufficiently grown, select it and use its ride option. Flying pets have a more specific route: raise the pet to Adult, use the right-side + to make it a Partner, then Summon it.

Recover from an egg or a too-young dinosaur

  1. If the animal is still an egg, return to its incubator, finish that egg’s warming period and hatch it. The recorded five-minute and two-minute-thirty-second examples belong to particular October 5 eggs; they are not all-species ride timers.
  2. Place the newborn on your ranch after hatching. A fossil set at Dr. Ivy or an egg held for a quest is not a dinosaur ready to select for riding.
  3. Read Belly and keep it above half. The growth guide says half or lower stops growth. Buy or source the named meat/vegetable foods and reserve care money while making the next trip.
  4. Allow the animal to grow, then select it and check its ride option again. The general riding guide does not supply an exact PC key, mobile button name or universal age label for every dinosaur.

The official description presents dinosaur growth from Newborn toward Elder and says grown animals can be ridden. It does not make every intermediate stage, species or control identical. The flyer-specific Adult instruction below should stay with flying pets rather than becoming a rule for every ranch animal.

Make a flying pet your Partner

Clara’s Sky Eggs are species-named: Pterodactylus Egg, Rhamphorhynchus Egg, Tapejara Egg, Pteranodon Egg and Quetzalcoatlus Egg hatch into the matching pet. After incubation, place and feed the pet on your ranch until Adult. The flying guide then directs you to the right-side + control to assign it as Partner, followed by Summon to use it for flight.

The same guide says a flyer can take one friend and lets you participate in Sky Races for Coins. It does not provide the passenger boarding controls, race entrance procedure or payout. Those specific details remain separate from the useful Partner/Summon instructions. See Clara’s complete acquisition route if you have not obtained the egg yet.

Before paying to repeat an egg quest

If your goal is simply inter-island flight and you already own an Adult flyer, use its known Partner route before spending another 10,000 Coins and repeating Clara’s 20-Pufferfish and 70-rock objectives. Quetzalcoatlus is the October 12 guide’s fastest/rarest target with a 5% egg award chance, rather than the only named pet that supplies the travel role. The Quetzalcoatlus comparison explains that repeat effort. For stalled growth, return to Belly and feeding recovery.

What is a useful way to ride without repeating an egg quest?

If you already own an Adult flyer, use the source’s right-side + → Partner → Summon steps instead of paying for another Clara loop. If the animal is a newborn, place it on the ranch, maintain Belly above half and allow growth before its ride option. No universal fastest aging time or exact control for every species is supplied. Those two starting states lead to different immediate actions.
